Dust Filter Bag >> Applications >> Colorant plant
A Japanese invested Colorants and Chemical Plant use Baghouses to collect the products. Due to the different kinds of colorants, they have to take out and wash the filter bags frequently. Since the colorants particles are ultra fine, they use PE/PE 554 PTFE (Polyester PTFE membrane felt) for this application. But the filtration efficiency loses rapidly after the bag was washed twice¨¤The PTFE membrane was broken by washing and drying. This caused illegally emission.
Solution
ST Filter introduced BWF needlona ?PE/PE 551 MPS? for this application:
MPS (Micro Pore Size) filter media, the maximum possible separation of ultra fine particles of free flowing dust in the micron and sub-micro sector. The BWF method is to increase the effective filter area significantly. This is achieved by the use of very fine fiber components in the fiber overlay. The fibers are compressed into a micro-porous filter medium with a new needle technique developed at BWF. MPS? filter media have a great increased filter-active surface area. A dense back-up weave, acting as an additional zone of compression, guarantees the barrier effect below the surface. Separation is surface orientated, ensuring low operating costs by means of fewer cleaning cycles. Furthermore, MPS filter materials is not as fragile as PTFE membrane felt after washing and drying several times.
